One-on-One Virtual Apprenticeships

Jerry understands that each photographer's educational needs are different and that is what sets Light at the Edge apart from conventional photographic training programs. Rather than listening to a canned lecture or learning in a classroom environment, Jerry's goal is to work with you one-on-one via video conference and e-mail to broaden and strengthen your technical skills, reduce the amount of time spent refining images in Photoshop, and provide you with the tools you need to set yourself apart from the competition on your photographic journey. Photographic excellence takes practice, which is why we prefer to think of our One-on-one training as a sort of virtual apprenticeship.

As part of your education with Light at the Edge's One-on-one program, you'll receive:

• Custom tailored instruction over the course of 12 or 24 weeks.


• Three different areas of focus to choose from: Studio, Environmental or Wedding. Depending on your skill level, a combination of choices may be available.


• Up to ten one-on-one video conference calls (six scheduled and four available upon request) of approximately 45 minutes each with our 12 week virtual apprenticeship and up to twenty video conference calls (12 scheduled and eight available upon request) with our 24 week extended virtual apprenticeship.


• Photographic homework assignments between each video call to strengthen your skills.


• Video recordings of each conference call to keep as reference material.


• Unlimited mentoring and support via e-mail, as well as access to our video library for the duration of your instruction.


• A final evaluation, incorporating information and plans to help you continue to learn and grow as a photographer.

To participate in the Light at the Edge educational experience, you will need to complete an assessment questionnaire and provide ten un-retouched client images for evaluation. These materials will be used to help shape the direction and focus of your instruction.

This unique experience and investment in yourself starts at $1440 for a twelve week virtual apprenticeship and $2440 for our twenty-four week extended virtual apprenticeship. Flexible payment plans are available.
